A post was recently made to several of the Seattle-area Facebook groups and distribution lists by the Radical Accountability Council (the content of which is included below) to which INW would like to provide some clarification.
While it’s true that the INW Board and the Radical Accountability Council (RAC) are still in process of working together to try to reach an agreement on how to move forward with our relationship, that does not mean we have eliminated the “Do Not Attend” List. This list has been created by Ignition NW, and contains both RAC flagged individuals and others who are not allowed at INW events due to misconduct or violations.
We appreciate the hard work done by RAC in the past. We are dedicated to finding a solution to this issue to continue to keep our community both safe and accountable to violations of consent. Please know that this is a difficult issue to navigate and we are doing our best to resolve it.
Sincerely,
INW Board

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE Radical Accountability Council (RAC)
Hello Community,
At this time, all RAC business is on pause as our sponsoring subscriber, Ignition Northwest, is reevaluating their support of the RAC. As a result, the RAC cannot make any flag recommendations for events and past RAC recommendations will no longer be provided to any events until this matter has been resolved. Further, we will not be able to receive any new reports or conduct any inquiries on existing reports.
We are actively working with the INW board to determine our options for helping support safety and foster accountability at our events and within our community.
If you have a consent or conduct incident that you would like to report or any questions about event safety, we recommend you reach out directly to the producers/organizers or Board of the organization sponsoring the event in question.
