Consent is Sexy! Workshop

Ignition Northwest is pleased to partner with The Consent Academy to offer the Consent is Sexy! Boundaries for Burners workshop!
Hey Burners! Lots of us have been talking about wanting to have more informed conversations about Consent. Perhaps you’ve been subject to some kind of interaction that has been uncomfortable. Perhaps you’ve been negligent in your own actions or have been the recipient of such behavior. How would you like to improve how you relate to other people AND have more fun in your interactions?
We’ve contracted with Sar Surmick, Director of Consent Academy, to create a custom educational workshop for our community. Ignition Northwest is generously sponsoring this workshop so that it is FREE TO ATTEND for all participants.
Consent is Sexy! Boundaries for Burners workshop
What to expect:
We all need to be able to talk about Consent. Most of us have learned the idea that No means No, but Consent goes way beyond that. It is present in our lives every single day. Explore with us how to move beyond simply giving or accepting a No. Get some tips, tricks, and tools for talking about Consent, whether it’s about a new relationship, sex, a first hug, or a quick spanking. Learn how to move towards an informed Yes and a better understanding of what it means to live in a Consent Culture.
Consent can be sexy. More than that, it can help us create mutually beneficial connections and a stronger, safer community for us all. Join us to learn these essential skills, and help build the expectation of a Consent Community we can all be proud to participate in.
This event is part of Ignition Northwest’s efforts to bring more teachers, educators and makers to host workshops for our community.
