BlackRockCity365 (BRC365) is a social art project designed to bring the principles of the magical Black Rock City (aka Burning Man) to the magical Emerald City.
These ten principles inform Black Rock City - a temporary city comprised of 50,000 strangers, who come together each August for a week of camping and celebration in an inhospitable desert.
By applying the ten principles to Seattle, BRC365 hopes to capture the energy and intentionality of Black Rock City, to engage and enlighten burners and non-burners alike, to ignite a deeper, richer sense of community.
BRC365 will play out as a series of participatory public events. Your participation is requested! The first event is a photo scavenger hunt at the Pioneer Square First Thursday artwalk on February 4, 2010.
Looking forward to 2010
